Our gear is CE CERTIFIED

What is CE Certification?

CE stands for Conformité Européenne (European Conformity). It’s a standard used in the European Union to ensure that motorcycle protective gear—like jackets, pants, gloves, and armor—meets strict safety, quality, and durability standards. This certification is essential for riders who want to ensure their gear provides real protection in the event of a crash.

Protective motorcycle clothing is classified into three CE safety classes under the EN 17092 standard. These classes help riders understand the level of protection a garment offers:

Class AAA: Highest level, suited for high-speed riding and track use, though potentially heavier.

Class AA: Good protection for diverse, long-distance riding.

Class A: Minimum protective requirement for urban riding.

Class B: Provides abrasion resistance similar to A, but does not require impact armor.

Class C: Non-shell garment designed only to hold armor in place.

  • Testing Areas: The standard tests zones of the garment that are likely to impact the ground, covering abrasion, tear, and seam strength.
  • Armor Requirements: EN 17092 garments must include armor, but the standard focuses more on the outer shell's protection, with armor ratings actually following the 1621 standard.
  • Purpose: The standard creates standardized safety across brands

CE-Rated Armor: Impact Protection Levels

Armor is rated separately under EN 1621 standards. It’s tested for how well it absorbs impact energy. There are two levels:

  • Level 1: Maximum force transmitted is ≤ 18 kN
(Lighter, more flexible, but slightly less protection)

  • Level 2: Maximum force transmitted is ≤ 9 kN
(Thicker and absorbs more energy—ideal for knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, and back)

Look for CE Level 2 armor in high-quality gear for superior impact protection.

Quick Tips for Riders:

✅ Always check for CE certification labels

✅ Match gear class to your riding style

✅ Upgrade to Level 2 armor for key impact zones

✅ Consider breathability and comfort for longer rides
